The annual Western Rivers Cup will once again be held with 12 teams competing not only for the prestigious bragging rights of cup winners but also for great prizes.
This year the Western Rivers Cup will be held across the weekend of the 03th and 04th of October, games commencing 9am each day. The event is a free, alcohol and drug free event.
SWIN would like to welcome 3 new additions to the family. We are excited to welcome a new executive member, staff member, and sport & rec officer.
South West and South East Small Grants are now open. In addition, please be aware there has been changes to the small grants guidelines (pages 2 and 3). Please read all guidelines carefully before applying for small grants.
South West Indigenous Network currently have a position available within the organisation, SWIN Sport and Recreation Coordinator. For more details please see the advertisement.
Due to exhausting all South East and South West QLD Small Grants funding, the Small Grants Program is currently CLOSED and SWIN is unable to accept any further applications for funding. SWIN will honour all applications received as of the 05th June 2015 and the executive committee has approved. Please keep checking the SWIN Website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for news on future Small Grants funding.
In recognition of the anniversary of the National Apology to Australia's First Nations people, and in light of the finalising of the wording of the proposed changes to the constitution, Jess, Dusty and Jesse attended the Deadly Perspectives community forum today at the Empire Theatre's new Armytage Centre!
SWIN would like to announce that SOUTH EAST Small Grants are once again open as of 09/02/2015.
The SWIN Seamers once again travelled to Brisbane to compete in a T20 cricket match against the QLD Imparja Cricket Team.

This weekend the SWIN Seamers take on QLD Cricket's 'Imparja Cup' state Indigenous cricket side in a T20 clash as part of the state teams preparation for the National Indigenous Cricket Championships!
The T20 battle will take place this Sunday (1st of February) in Brisbane at the Brisbane Grammar School cricket fields at Northgate.
SWIN would like to congratulate Cameron Moodie and Daley Martin for their selection in the 2015 Queensland Imparja Cup team.
