It’s happening again in 2022! This year’s MPK South West Indigenous Network Race Day featuring the CatholicCare Social Services Darby McCarthy Cup, Saturday 29 October, 2022 at the Toowoomba Turf Club.
The Darby Cup Race pays tribute to Darby who was a trailblazer for Indigenous Jockeys, riding more than 1000 race winners in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Racing was Darby’s beloved sport and has long been a voice for his people, even setting up an apprentice school for Indigenous youths who wanted to become involved in the racing industry.
Should you be interested in becoming a sponsor for this year’s Race Day we are seeking potential Bronze Sponsors for the day ($750) and items to the minimum value of $50 to be donated for the raffle on the night.
