Congratulations
to the Bungeeba Indigenous Sport and Rec Centre, the Dalby PCYC, the
SWIN Dalby Indigenous Sport and Rec Officer and all the other event
organisers and event partners for putting on a fantastic QLD Government Deadly Sports
Expo at Dalby yesterday!
Over 300 students from across the Western Downs region participated in 15 different sports and cultural activities across the day such as Rugby League, Netball, Softball, Soccer and Traditional Indigenous Games sessions and had the chance to interact with a number of Deadly Sports Athletes who educated students on the benefit of leading a healthy lifestyle.
Athletes who attended the day included Mick DeVere (Brisbane Broncos), Rod Davies (QLD Reds), Andre Moore (Brisbane Bullets), players from the QLD Firebirds Netball side and many more!
The SWIN network looks forward to hosting many more sport and recreation events in the Dalby community in the future.
