Thursday the 5th of May started off the event with a workshop to not only highlight the programs that SWIN currently are delivering in the South East and South West regions but also to upskill and educate with Community Golf Instructor Accreditations for members of SWIN. In addition to delivering the Community Golf Instructor accreditation course, SWIN was able to donate six community golf kits to six remote communities so that golf can then be delivered to the wider community.

The following day, fifty-eight supporters of SWIN converged on the Toowoomba City Golf Club to play in a friendly 2-man Ambrose competition. The day saw friendly competition between the golfers, all vying for the famous SWIN Golf Day Shield, however Rob Weymouth and Mal Porter took that win out for the day. The South West Indigenous Network works with many communities in South Queensland. Without valued community members, businesses and organisations in these communities, SWIN would not be the organisation it is today.

The SWIN Workshop and Supporter Golf Day is a joint initiative of South West Indigenous Network, Hutchinson Builders, Toowoomba City Golf Club and the Queensland Government. We would like to thank all our supporters.
