SWIN attended the Empire Theatre’s Black Diggers morning tea, held on Tuesday 2nd September. The morning tea was held at the Empire Theatre to celebrate the launch of the critically acclaimed production – Black Diggers.

South West Indigenous Network attended a morning tea held at the Empire Theatre on Tuesday 2nd September 2014.

This morning tea was held to celebrate the launch of the critically acclaimed production Black Diggers, prior to its live simulcast on the 8th October 2014.

Black Diggers Director and QTC Artistic Director Wesley Enoch was there to talk to attendees about Black Diggers, the cast, and the stories behind Black Diggers.

It was a great opportunity for SWIN to meet and talk to Wesley,  as well as find out about Black Diggers before the actual show in October.

Black Diggers uncovers the contribution of World War 1 Aboriginal Diggers, following their exceptional stories from their homelands to the battlefields of Gallipoli, Palestine and Flanders. An extraordinary all-male, all-Indigenous cast will evoke these heroic men, largely unrecognised by history.

SWIN would like to thank all those that attended and look forward watching the live simulcast in October.
