Congratulations to Ipswich PCYC and all the Indigenous Community Sport & Recreation Officers who attended for a successful NAIDOC event on Tuesday 08th July 2014. SWIN was invited along on the day to share in the celebrations and also introduce the community to our South East Small Grants program.

Over 200 community members participated on the day, joining in the various activities that was on to offer such as traditional dancers, traditional games, ultimate frisbee, softball, zumba and billy lids. Additionally, who could pass up on lunch with the PCYC serving up kangaroo kebabs, kangaroo pie, damper, and roast vegies.

We had a lot of interest on the day from families and teams interested in South East Queensland Small Grants, excited that SWIN is able to help kids and teams represent their region/state in sport.
