Pirates ahoy!!! Cunnamulla held their Pirates of the Warrego community event on Sunday July 27th 2014. The day was filled with excitement, fun and a lot of laughs.

The day commenced with a canoe race of the Warrego with teams having to complete an amazing race challenge. The girls from SWIN braved the depths of the Warrego to compete in the challenge. It was a great race by all with the winners being Triple X – Cheesy, Koli and Eric.

With the canoe challenge completed, the day continued with activities and challenges up at Centenary Park. A treasure hunt, snakes and ladders, reading bug corner, a jumping castle, and face painting were available for the kids on the day. In addition, team events of volleyball, sack races and tug-of-war were available. Our SWIN team put a good fight with the volleyball, under the captaincy of PJ, our chairperson; the SWIN team was runners up to Jocks and Kirsty’s team.

It was a great day all round. SWIN would like to congratulate all the organisers and volunteers on the day for a great community event, well done guys!!!
