Billy Lids Western Tour Testimonial

Testimonial from NRL Game Development Officer Sarah Walker in regards to the Billy Lids Western Tour she just came on travelling to Surat, Mitchell, Charleville and Cunnamulla.

December 3, 2012 //  by SWIN

Hi Tanya,

I hope you have recovered from the week gone……could you please pass the following onto all involved in last week’s SWIN Tour.

I would just like to pass on my thanks on behalf of the National Rugby League for the opportunity to be involved in such a wonderful program. The week was amazing in so many ways – creating new networks between SWIN and the NRL, working with other sports which is a very rare opportunity and meeting lots of wonderful and very interesting people along the roads.

After having a week to work on my tennis technique, my golf swing and netball strategies, I can just about say that it has been one of the most memorable experiences in 2012. I would like to praise you and your organisation for the work that SWIN has done in the western communities, to see how tough and amazing the kids are out that way – there is a HELL OF A LOT of sporting potential coming our way.

I would like to say a special thank yourself, PJ, Ben and Dusty for the efforts you contributed to make the tour such a success – I never got the opportunity on the Friday to say this, due to my head and guts playing games with me.

To the other Development Officer’s from Golf QLD, Touch QLD, Tennis QLD, Netball QLD and my mate SUSIE, thank you for such a great week. It was a wonderful experience working with you all to achieve what SWIN is all about. I would like to say that I still can’t hit a golf ball straight and will never be able to serve a tennis ball over the net (being short is not excuse either!!) But seriously, thanks to you all for making it such a great time both on the park and in the pub.

On behalf of the National Rugby, I wish you and your families all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Kind Regards,

Sarah Walker
