St George September 2012 School Vacation Activites Program

St. Geroge and surrounding districts held a deadly vacation program over the September holidays. It was great to see so many kids and parents joining in all of the fun.

24/09/12 Tennis Day

  • 36 participants
  • The tennis is very popular and a good turn up of parents was noted.
  • Cold wraps and cordial were provided for lunch.
  • Session went from 10 am – 2 pm.
  • Well behaved kids were given tickets to the draw for the razor scooter.

25/09/12 St George Fun Day

  • The SWIN Bowling machine was very popular as we had a contest to see who was the best catcher in St George.
  • The day also drew our highest number of participants totalling 61 children.
  • Other activities included, red rover, cricket, handball, t ball soccer, touch football and sprint races.
  • The children were given fresh fruit and water for lunch.
  • Winners and well behaved participants were given novelty prizes.
  • A great day was had by all.

26/09/12 Craft Day

  • Craft day had 54 kids.
  • Arts and craft were the flavour with some kids doing paper mache hats and masks for the upcoming disco.
  • Once again tickets were given for good behaviour  for the draw in the razor scooter.
  • Good attendance for Parents was noted as well.

28/09/12 Art and craft

  • Morning was craft for the kids finishing off their masks and hats for the disco that night.
  • 30 participants recorded.
  • Arts and craft were the flavour with some kids doing paper mache hats and masks for the upcoming disco.
  • Once again tickets were given for good behaviour for the draw in the razor scooter.

28/09/12 Disco

  • 53 participants.
  • Sports packs from sport and rec were made from old apparel and given as prizes for best dancers male and female. The best hats male and female and also the best masks male and female.
  • A bus was driven by myself to drop the kids home safely who required it.

2/10/12 Bollon Fun Day

  • 6 participants.
  • Ball games and sports packs to give away to the kids.

04/10/12 River Cruise Day

  • Good attendance for Parents was noted as well
  • River cruise day was the most active with a total in excess of 90 with a huge involvement from parents.
  • It was a great way to finish the school activities off with the all famous river boat cruise. This cruise is captained and pioneered by close mate Brett Sweikardt from Sandy River Cruises.
  • The cruises went for nearly 4 hrs with a BBQ lunch and ball games keeping the waiting participants occupied as they waited for their exciting cruise.

05/10/12 Dirranbandi Fun Day and Disco

  • To finish the school holiday off it was a trip to Dirranbandi to set up the bowling machine and have a game of soccer and basketball.
  • We had around 25 participants with no parents I think they were happy to get rid of the kids by the end of the holidays!! Lol…!!
  • Once again sports packs were given to the kids who won events and Dirran had their very own scooter to draw.
